It’s all fine and dandy to say we care for our chickens. But what really matters are the details of how we take care of our animals. Here are some facts that might surprise you.
NO HORMONES OR STEROIDS
Since 1965, the use of hormones and steroids has been illegal in all chickens raised in Canada.
NO CAGES
All our chickens are free to roam around the barn, where they can access food and water whenever they want.
NO UNNECESSARY ANTIBIOTICS
We only use antibiotics when necessary and follow strict mandatory withdrawal times.
Animal Care Program
As part of our dedication to raising our chickens right, we created the Raised by a Canadian Farmer Animal Care Program. This regularly audited program helps us maintain our high standards today and well into the future.
